Ever since entering the White House, President Donald Trump has been involved in countless beefs. From Congress to NFL players, judges to rappers, he has taken shots at everyone but there's one man against whom he is yet to take a stand, and he's our 'White Rapper' Eminem.
Donald Trump recently took some shots at our 'Black Rapper' Jay-Z when he threw some comments on him. Like everyone else, I lost my mind because Eminem has been going after Trump for over a year now and still, hasn't received a response whereas a single comment from Jay couldn't stop President's tweeting fingers to react.
But, what can be the reason behind this? Is Trump afraid of Eminem? Or, is he truly a racist? Many great people including political commentators have shared their view on the incident. Before we jump into that, let me tell you what Slim Shady and Jay have said about the president.
The 45-year-old rapper took his first shots at Donald Trump in a vicious seven-minute track, Campaign Speech. Then, he collaborated with Big Sean for a track, No Favors in which he said, "Trump's a bitch." After hearing those two tracks, everyone in the world was awaiting a response from Donald Trump, but time passed and he didn't utter a single word. In the meantime, Eminem was ready to launch the third and the most dangerous attack on the President.
When Trump didn't respond to Eminem's first two songs, he decided to make things more public by ripping him apart at the BET Awards via 'The Storm.' In the freestyle, he rapped, "Trump, when it comes to giving a shit you're as stingy as I am/ Except when it comes to having the balls to go against me, you hide 'em."
Slim Shady even attacked his fans who are Trump supporters. "And any fan of mine who's a supporter of his I'm drawing in the sand a line, you're either for or against/ And if you can't decide who you like more and you're split on who you should stand beside, I'll do it for you with this: Fuck you," he rapped.
Now, before jumping on Eminem's next attack, let us look at the comments from Kat Timpf, Fox News contributor on why Trump didn't backfire at Marshall Mathers. He said, "I think that Trump's afraid and he also probably just doesn't want to make it worse. Every day there's some sort of roast battle going on between him and someone else. But I don't think he's quite so confident in his skills against someone who has been roasting people for a living for a long time."
Let us now talk about some of the recent shots taken by Eminem.
Eminem released his ninth studio album, Revival and as expected he took shots at Donald Trump. He didn't even spare his daughter, Ivanka and wife, Melania. This somehow resulted in a response from Trump...
Everyone was eagerly awaiting a response from the president because Slim dissed not only him but also his wife and daughter. After the release of the album, Eminem sat with Vulture for an interview where he talked about Trump. The rapper said that he wants Donald Trump to listen to his record, and if he responds, he has all the things ready to hit back at him. Somehow the response came from Donald Trump Jr. and this time Marshall didn't say anything.
But, Slim was not done here.
When asked about what was going on his mind on the election night, Marshall said, "I know that Hillary [Clinton] had her flaws, but you know what? Anything would have been better [than Trump]. A fucking turd would have been better as a president." And like always, there was no response and that's when Jay-Z came into the picture.
In a recent interview, Jay-Z was asked about Trump and his comments on African countries. The rapper responded to comments as hurtful and also said that this has been going on in the country.
Later, he was asked about Trump's claims on black unemployment that has gone down in his reign. Jay said, "It's not about money at the end of the day. Money doesn't equate to happiness. It doesn't. That's missing the whole point. "It goes back to the whole thing -- 'treat me bad and pay me well.' It's not going to lead to happiness; it's going to lead to, again, the same thing. Everyone's going to be sick."
But, this time Trump was ready to respond...
So, what does this mean? There are two major things which I took out from this. Either he is not afraid of Jay-Z, or he's truly a racist. Now, let us talk about the reasons why he didn't respond to Em but did it to Jay.
Michael D'Antonio, author of 'The Truth About Trump' said that President will not attack anyone if he cannot gain anything from his enemy and that's the case with Eminem.
Jay's answer to unemployment was not at all wrong, but in that case, Trump had a proof of the declining black unemployment rate, and that's why he thought of attacking Jay. But, when it comes to Eminem, he knows that he can't go against him for the things the rapper has said about him and tackling him would be a tough task. As everybody knows, Marshall Mathers is a wordsmith and President Donald Trump not.
We all know that Trump's followers have declined since he won the election. If we suppose that 50 percent of people who voted for him are still his supporters, so there is a chance that some of the people among them might be Eminem's fans. So, Trump would not want to lose his remaining followers just by replying to Eminem.
Do you agree with the reasons? If not, then tell me what's your take in the comment section. :)
