Well, most of us are unaware of this ideal count of the number of hours of sleep that we need every day. So, here we get to you the actually needed sleep as per your age.
Many of us don't sleep for the adequate amount of time and then end up being tired for the entire day. This is darn harmful to physical as well as mental health. Moreover, these days, when we get busy in life, this is the most compromised thing of all. ANd what is even more unfortunate, that we realise this as a problem when it is too late, when insomnia has grabbed us with both its arms.
Sleep is an important part of the routine, as that time also, the body keeps on performing a number of tasks. That is the time worn-down muscles are rebuilt, the time when emotions and responses during the day are processed and so on.
Well, infants aged between 4 and 11 months need sleep of 12 to 15 hours, each day. You will see that as one ages, the number of hours of sleep reduces.
Toddlers are the ones who start a lot of activity thus, they need a good amount of sleep for 11 to 14 hours.
Falling under the age bracket of three to five years, preschoolers have a lot of physical activity.
Age group of 6 to 13 years, school going kids need a sleep of nine to eleven hours.
The teen years, from 14 to 17, are of high on fun years. The minimum expected amount of sleep is eight to ten hours. But we doubt if teenagers these days take the perfect amount of sleep each day.
Falling in the age group of 18 to 25 years of age, these youngsters should take a sleep of seven to nine hours. For them to perform properly during the day, this sleep is a must.
Like the actual mature ones, in the age group of 26 to 64, they also need a sleep of seven to nine hours. It is very important that they sleep this much, if they want to achieve their dreams without hampering their mental and physical health.
65 plus, the oldies must take a sound sleep of seven to eight hours. This will help them stay in the pink of their health.
