Kevin Spacey or some people may recognize him as Francis Underwood from Netflix's original series House of Cards is the hot topic of the town among fans. The reason? Well, it's simple. He is gay, and he shared this news with the world in an unexpected way.
After the sexual assault allegations from actor Anthony Rapp, Kevin Spacey issued an official apology on his Twitter account for being drunk and sexually harassing on Anthony, who was just 14 years old when this incident happened at a house party in 1986, to be precise.
Though Kevin says that he does not remember advancing on Anthony in the bed, but he did reveal his sexual orientation for the first time saying that "he chooses to live as a gay man."
Firstly, facing the accusations of sexually advancing on minor and then announcing publically he is gay, there's a lot has been going on in the life of Kevin Spacey.
This official statement from Kevin sparked the controversy across all the social media platforms, and fans have started to share their opinion on him.
WittyFeed also asked people what do they think about all of these, and look at what people said:
Apparently, there was already chaos among fans following this controversy, and Netflix ignited it more with their announcement to end House of Cards.
Some people are supporting Kevin while there are some who showed their disinterest in it.
As a Facebook user Mike Garnett said there's no point in alleging someone after 30 years.
An Oscar-winning Kevin Spacey might not have thought even in his dreams that a simple apology would cause him this much of trouble.
"Thank God I'm not being judged by inappropriate decisions taken by younger me 30 years ago."
The decision to cancel House of Cards series has nothing to do with allegations made on Kevin Spacey.
The advancement was made almost 30 years ago, and alleging anyone after 30 years for that could ruin their career. And at the first place, the question arises, what was a 14-year-old doing alone at Hollywood party?
"Spacey invited him to a party at his home in New York. He was the only teenager in attendance, and went to watch television after becoming bored," reports The Guardian.
While in a short interview he said, "He [Kevin] was trying to seduce me, I don't know if I would have used that language. But I was aware that he was trying to get with me sexually."
However, that doesn't mean the show ends here. Two more allegations have emerged from nowhere that just added fuel and ignited the fire even more.
The 50-year-old anchor from the show America TV shares, "The #weinsteinscandal has emboldened me … I was a Kevin Spacey fan until he assaulted a loved one. Time the dominoes fell."
It happened at the 2013 Edinburgh TV Festival as The Telegraph reports that Spacey made an advancement on a writer who pushed the actor away and then left.
What new turns will it take in future, only time can tell.
That's all, folks!
