When I say puzzle, it comes from a word 'pusle' which means confound or confusing. It was basically created to as a means to 'toy that can test one's ingenuity'.
And thus, one very viral puzzle that was posted on Facebook earlier with the claim that only 1 in 1000 people can solve this or even figure it out. It soon came out as one of the biggest controversies and has now got over 3 million comments from around the world.
Maybe you might not know about this question or you may have come across it while scrolling on your social platform. While you may be wondering why I'm here with all this story around one puzzle? Well, because I fall in that 1 in 1000 category who figured it out in the first time with correct logic.
But, I challenge you to solve it in the first attempt and get the answer matching with mine. I know, you have become much curious to move to the question. So let's start.
If 1+4 = 5
2+5 = 12
3+6 = 21
What would be 8+11 = ?
Start solving the puzzle as you've got the question that too which challenges that only 1 in 1000 could solve this. Take your time, I gave you 5 minutes as that is just sufficient to solve this.
So, what did you get? If I'm not wrong, you have got: 40 as your answer. Is that right?
Isn't it? You applied the running total in this puzzle and got the answer as 40. Simply add the first two digits along with the previous answer and reaching to the new answer. That is to say, 1+4=5, 5+(2+5)=12, 12+(3+6)=21 and so on...
Oh, well. Don't bang your head. I know you are disappointed with this. But, 40 is not the answer. The answer is something else. Although the logic is correct but you've applied it on the wrong numbers.
96, Yes! You may see the logic in the above picture. Oh, now you must be thinking what's wrong with your logic. Well, I already said, your logic was correct but you applied it on wrong numbers. Let's try to apply running total on these numbers correctly.
As per the chronology, you have to follow the sequence after 1,2,3 in one line and 4,5,6 in another line and apply the logic of addition. And after 60+7+10 = 77 you know what should come next? Its 77+(8+11) = 96 which was initially asked.
But, can't help. The answer is probably and most likely to be equal to 96 because by applying any of the above logic we are reaching at 96. So, hopefully, the answer is this only.
That's all folks!
