You know that Summer ain't over until the biggie Hollywood stars get their surfboards.
In case you still haven't guessed, the 2017 Teen Choice Award function took place on August 13, 2017, and, almost everyone you admire from movies to TV to pop culture attended this event and headed to the USC Galen Center in Los Angeles for its telecast.
The show witnessed mesmerising performances by Louis Tomlinson, Bebe Rexha, Zara Larsson with Clean Bandit and Rita Ora, as it was full of surprises. Obviously, it wouldn't be a Teen Choice Awards without some of the biggest entertaining moments from the show.
As expected, Maroon 5, Miley Cyrus and Bruno Mars were some of the most familiar faces on the show who it won it big and high.
So if you've missed this year's Teen Choice Awards 2017, just drop yourself on a comfortable couch and find out the best and the worst moments from the show.
Okay, so we didn't expect Teen Choice Awards 2017 to be the best broadcast event on TV this year, but still, there's a scope for creativity, man. Couldn't they think of some more creative name than Choicey? It is an insult to the poor man who was inside that furry costume, banging head all day to be like Panda.
Zendaya's acceptance speech 'embrace your weirdness,' was one of the most touching parts of the show. The actress said, "I need you to be educated, I need you to listen, I need you to pay attention," to her young fans as she encouraged them to be knowledgeable about the current affairs.
The first award of the night was given to Pretty Little Liars actress Lucy Hale for Choice Drama Actress and Janel Parrish for Choice TV Villain. But when actress Victoria Justice suddenly invited YouTuber Jake Paul on the stage, the situation became awkward. Though it appeared as a prank, an awkward silence followed. However, Lucy Hale and Janel Parrish did receive their surfboards as awards.
Kaitlin Olson and Thomas Barbusca came to stage to perform a skit in which they demanded that snacks should be given at the awards show. Though it was part of the skit, people present at the award function thought they were enacting a scene from their film, The Mick.
Most of the people in the audience thought that Kumail Nanjiani and Michael Pena were done with fidget spinner jokes till Craig Robinson and Adam Scott came on the stage and did something similar. Dear readers, you could do better. Trust me.
Supergirl's Melissa Benoist and The Flash's Grant Gustin couldn't have got anything more pleasant than getting the chance to dance alongside computer-generated Snapchat filter. It is the only moment in which the show achieved the heights of 'teen-ness.'
As we said earlier, we feel pity for whoever was inside that furry outfit pretending to be Panda. We feel sympathy for ex-Fifth Harmony member Camila Cabello as well. God knows, how many takes did this shot require.
Bruno Mars's music video 'Versace on the floor' hardly showed real footage. But when a song has words like 'Let's just kiss, till we're naked' then things are bound to get accepted by most of the people.
Everybody's jaw dropped on the floor because they couldn't believe that just a few days after the announcing the split from his wife Anna Faris, Chris Pratt would attend the show. The best part was his hilarious self-depreciating acceptance speech.
Miley was all-set to attend Teen Choice Awards 2017, but she ditched at the last minute. As a result, the fans took out their frustration on social media.
After Fifth Harmony was declared the winner of Teen Choice Music Award, three young fans came around through Facetime to see four of them accept their surfboards. No doubt, these fans gave some of the best star-struck expressions.
Oh sorry, you weren't invited.
That's all, folks!
