Action movies are a joy for every movie lover and we do get amazed by the VFX, stunts, action scenes that take our breath away. Though every stunt is performed with proper care, it doesn't guarantee a 100% success rate every time and injuries and accidents remain a part that cannot be neglected. We do read news around actors getting injured while performing any stunt scene which also proves that not every action scene or stunt is fake and actual energy and dedication of many people are involved in making those scenes work.

The stunt double for Angela Bassett, Sonia Davis was performing a backflip from a height of around 45-foot, but instead of falling on the airbag, she smashed her head on the pavement. Later it was found that the airbag was misplaced that led to this incident. Sonia Davis died of her injuries two-week after the accident.
Featuring stars like Tom Cruise, the top gun had a plane scene for which Art Scholl was assigned the duty to take those mind blowing air shoot. This was no new for Art, he was already well-known Hollywood stunt pilot. During a flat spin, Art lost the control over the plane and failed to recover it to its original position. "I have a problem,", "I have a real problem," were his last words before crashing into the Pacific Ocean. Unfortunately, his body didn't get recover.
Paul Mantz, a very popular pilot in Hollywood died in a plane crash during a scene shot of the movie. The accident happened when the plane struck a small hillock, a desert site in Arizona for a second take.
Brandon Lee, son of the legendary actor Bruce Lee, was extensively wounded while filming a scene of "The Crow". Brandon was mistakenly shot with a .44mm revolver during a scene in the film by Actor Michael Massee, who was playing her wife. The bullet hit the abdomen of Brandon. Sadly, he passed away at the age of 28 years.
During a shot, one of the stuntmen was attacked and killed by a shark who was supposed to be sedated. When the team started promoting the film by using death, Samuel Fuller, the director of the film left the movie because of the issues afterwards.

During the filming of the movie, a helicopter crashed from the height of just 25-feet, resulting into the death of actor Vic Morrow and two child actors- Myca Dinh Le (7) and Renee Shin-Yi Chen (6). Vic and Myca were crashed with the helicopter blade while Chen was crushed to death because of the helicopter crash. Everyone in the helicopter including the pilot survived with some minor injuries.
