The thrill of driving at a high speed is sure to pique a driver's adrenaline. The open stretch of highway often lures anyone driving a bike or any other vehicle to speed. And when you find an entire run of the road all empty for you, you kick it into high gear and floor it, reaching speeds where tears down your ears and why won't you? The coast is clear, right?
Let's take a ride to the story!
This is the reason why there are speed limits. Car companies usually perform a destructive test to ensure the safe design standards.
Usually, we find Germans to be pushing the crash test envelope, but this time Russian testing site decided to crash a car at 120 mph.
For a difference, they crash tested a car at 50 mph, just as China makes any of their cars appear safe by testing at 35mph. But 120mph? It's never been done before.
This Russian testing snapshots will pretty much sum it up for you.
In these demonstrations, one car is running at speed close to 120 miles/hour and hits a stationary vehicle. Imagine the devastation that could occur if both the cars were moving? Whammy!
And the results are quite terrifying.
The footage clearly demonstrates the utter destruction of a high-speed impact.
Doesn't this car seem to have completely disintegrated?
With that kind of collision, not even a seat belt would have helped you. Well, these tests were taken under controlled examination and with crash test dummies.
Would seeing such devastation encourage people to slow down on the road? If not... Then what will?
So it's quite clear to see that the thrill of the speed is injurious to health.
