They recorded their first album 'Brother For Sale' and also starred in their very first film 'To Grandmothers House We Go'.
The world just couldn't get enough of Mary-Kate and Ashley.
In 1995, the girls got their first Hollywood break when they acted in their first major motion picture 'It Takes Two' along with Steve Guttenberg and Kirstie Alley.
Because there was always someone or the other who wanted to sign them and they had their albums too.
The girls decided to expand their horizons in 2001 when they launched 'Dualstar' as their own line of fashion and entertainment.
They failed not in their new initiative of entering the fashion industry but in the world of Hollywood. They failed because "New York Minute" was the last film they acted in which released in the year 2014.

After the launch of Dualstar, they became one of the wealthiest women the entertainment industry had known.
They have been very successful as designers and this is how they look today.
The duo has earned their name in the fashion industry, and that is why fashion journalists call their styles as "ashcan" or "bohemian-bourgeois".
Lastly, in 2006 they also had started another American luxury fashion design house by the name of The Row. They have won many accolades for their work with The Row awarded by the Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA).
