The Kennel Club of UK is one of the oldest canine institutions in the world, which comes up with delightful pictures from its 'Dog Photographer Of The Year' competition held every year.

This contest has been running for 12 years now and has attracted nearly 10,000 entries from 74 countries across the world. The competition comprises 10 categories. They include 'Assistance Dogs', 'Puppies',  'Dogs At Work' and 'Rescue Dogs'.

Besides, there is a category that showcases deep bond between humans and dogs.

Maria Davison from Portugal was awarded the overall prize this year with a picture of black puppy resting by her friend's feet.

Davison said, "Winning not only the Man’s Best Friend category, but also the overall winner prize with this picture feels really good.”

These award winning photographs will be exhibited at the Kennel Club in Mayfair, London.
