The history of the world is intriguing, and there have been many people who became part of it. We can't go back to witness everything that has happened, but there have been some noteworthy moments which occurred in front of the camera and got their places saved in the History. During the early 1920s, the South California in the United States of America was one of the most desolate places.

#14 Acid attack victims.

Somayeh Mehri and her daughter Rana are pictured kissing each other in a picture here. Both of them are acid attack survivors. Somayeh's husband did this to them while they were sleeping. The reason for this was Somayeh's decision to divorce him.

#13 Remember this girl?

A National Geographic photographer re-visited the place where he had captured this beautiful girl and her cosmic eyes. She lived in Afghan/Pakistan's refugee camp somewhere around 1984. The photographer decided to trace the women again and returned to the place.

#12 Hitler in Paris.

When Hitler visited Paris in the year 1941 shortly after its invasion, he said: "This is one of the finest moments of my life."

#11 Audrey Hepburn

Model, actress, and sex symbol from the 1950s to 60s, Audrey Hepburn was pictured shopping in a store in Beverly Hills alongside her pet Deer, 'Ip.'

#10 Kiss at the Times Square in New York City. 

A famous sailor who kissed the nurse at the Times Square in New York City is seen here posing with that iconic picture. His name was Glenn McDuffie, and he died in the year 2014 at the age of 86.

#09 Mark Zuckerberg

Although this picture may not be as old as other pictures, it is historical for its reasons. Mark Zuckerberg, founder of the world-famous social media website is seen standing in the dormitory of Harvard University, from where it had all started.

#08 First selfie in the space.

Buzz Aldrin is the name of the scientist who took the first selfie in the space while he was on a Gemini 12 mission in 1966.

#07 Can you guess these legends' name?

Well, they're Steve Jobs and Bill Gates. This picture was taken when they posed for Fortune Magazine in the year 1981.

#06 The great band with the iconic boxer.

The world's biggest band, Beatles got their chance to meet the legend of the boxing of their times, Muhammad Ali. That's a lot of fame in one picture.

In 1946, a German soldier returned to his hometown, Frankfurt, only to find that his wife and children along with other people who promised him a better tomorrow, all have rotten to death.

#03 A Buddhist monk.

A Buddhist monk, Thich Quang, burned himself to death during 1963 Vietnam war. The reason for this was a feud between Buddhists and Catholics.

#02 Sudanese child

This graphic picture of Sudanese child shows him kneeling due to hunger, while a wide-eyes opened vulture awaits in the background for his food. This picture had sent chills down the spine of the international community when they saw this in the year 1992.
