Celebrities often lead a glamoured life, what looks like absolutely perfect when seen from a distance. But they honestly are just like you and me. Our brain cannot really contemplate how these filthy rich and extravagantly rich celebs can have any sorts of problems or regrets? We often forget that at the end of the day, they too are mere humans just like us. They also go through phases that what we normal people do. It's not always rainbows and sunshine for them, they have their hearts broke, wrong decisions, regrettable choices and breakdowns, just like any of us. Here, today I bring to you the biggest regrets of 10 Hollywood celebrities that will stun you!
Talk show host, media guru and philanthropist Oprah Winfrey has had many accomplishments in life and with a net worth of $2.9 billion, one might imagine few things to regret. But in a video that she posted following the cover shoot for her magazine this past April, she admitted a few regrets that she has about life that she has become aware of now that she is growing older. In the video, Oprah said that she regrets the time that she has wasted in life and also regrets all of the things that she is worried about that do not actually matter.
Connery, who played the 007 agent in seven "Bond" films starting with the first, 1962's "Dr. No," initially felt that he was underpaid for his role in the series. But by his sixth appearance (in "Diamonds are Forever"), he was so sick of the role that he started giving his Bond salaries to charity, according to an interview with The Guardian."I have always hated that damned James Bond," Connery said. "I'd like to kill him."
Halle Berry was on the top of the world in the early 2000's, but she almost lost it all when she starred in 2004's "Catwoman." The terrible superhero film almost ruined her career. At the Razzie Awards that year, Berry accepted her award by thanking Warner Bros. for "casting her in this piece-of-sh**, god-awful movie."
In 2008, Cruise admitted that he wished he could take back a few things he had said in the past, especially his “verbal attack” on Brooke Shields. In 2007, during the promotion of his film, War of the Worlds, the actor had criticized Shields’s use of drugs to treat her post-natal depression.Speaking about the incident a year later he said, “It came out wrong, it’s just not true. I was raised by four women who have children and babies.I’m not trying to tell anyone how to live their life or what they should believe or shouldn’t believe. I felt I could have handled it better.”
The regrets that superstar singer and songwriter Kanye West admits to are probably not what you’d expect. First of all, and on a sweeter note, West has said that one of his biggest regrets is that his mother, Donda, died in 2007 and she is therefore not able to meet his daughter, North. Another regret is completely different: in the August 2014 issue of GQ magazine, Kanye told the magazine that he regrets not featuring more nudity with his wife (and North’s mother) Kim Kardashian in his Bound 2 video.
The hip-hop singer’s biggest regret in life, reportedly, is that he didn’t slow down to spend time with his father. In his final words, the singer’s father asked Usher to forgive him for not being around when he was young. This inspired him to pen the song, Prayer For You. He said, “Instead of being there when he was sick, I was working. No amount of money could have fixed my father’s health, but I could have just spent that time with him.”
If someone had to ask the singer about his favourite on-stage performance, the one with Janet Jackson at the 2004 Super Bowl show would probably be his answer. However, he has a sour memory attached to it. Towards the end of the performance, Timberlake ripped open Janet’s jacket, exposing her breast. The ‘wardrobe malfunction’ was splashed across the media with Jackson being blamed for the incident. A few years later, Justin admitted that he regretted not standing by Janet. “I wish I had supported Janet more. I’m not sorry I apologized, but I wish I had been there more for Janet.”
The actor is not known to be big on apologies but he made an exception for his Two and a Half Men co-star Jon Cryer. In an interview in 2012, Sheen admitted that he regrets turning on his friend Cryer and calling him a ‘troll’ and a ‘traitor’ for not getting in touch post his (Sheen) departure from the show. He said, “That was wrong. I whaled on him unnecessarily.” Sheen added, “He was trying to keep the shit together, trying to cover my ass, pick up the slack. He just got caught in the crossfire. He’s a beautiful man and a fucking fabulous dude and I miss him.I need to repair that relationship, and I will. I will reach out and do whatever is necessary.”
Kate Winslet has said she regrets the style and quality of her performance in James Cameron's blockbuster, Oscar-winning 1997 film. "Every single scene, I'm like, 'Really, really? You did it like that? Oh my God,'"Winslet once told CNN. She further added, "My American accent, I can't listen to it. It's awful."
